Kissena State Track Championships

I've been looking forward to Track States all year. Last year I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after posting a mediocre flying 200m time and not even being able to help my teammate Mark in the omnium. This year I was in much better shape as well as having all the events on one day instead of two.

The race came together well. I won gold medals in the Kilo, Points, Sprints and Team Sprint as well as a Bronze in the Scratch race, which all added up to gold in the Omnium (overall). Mark (another East Ender) got silver in the cat 1/2/3s. The only downside of the day was a rainstorm that rolled in and forced the cancellation of the match sprints in the afternoon.
