Long time.. No hear
Well, it's been a while since my last entry, so you can probably guess that I have been alittle busy lately. This happens every spring it seems, I start to build a nice fitness base, I start getting really fast and strong on the bike and then...bamm! Life gets in the way, it's okay...these things happen.
Be Carefull
Be Carefull..these are the words I hear every time I hit the bricks. I have, as I am sure every cyclist has, have grown immune to the daily risk with riding your machine along occupied roads. Luckily for me, most of my routes are planned along fairly desulate roadways.
My favorite Super Hero
While I was growing up, I had my share of "super heroes"
First, I think it was 'Gigantor' He was a huge robot, he saved the world and I was a big fan of his. After that, I think it might have been Super man, maybe Batman or maybe even Spider Man. I'm not really sure, but there was always a Super Hero. Now years have passed and my super heroes have changed thru the years.
My Vibes
I know things are tough out there , but how in the world does Nicholas Cage have a house going into foreclosure? I mean, this guy has been in more movies than Kevin Bacon. Seriously, this guy has probably been in 20 movies over the last 5 years. Most of them sucked, but still, It's pretty hard for me to feel bad for this guy.
Time Bandits
Well, it looks like life has gotten in the way again for me. I had planned my usual Wednesday night hill ride . I had my machine and riding kit packed in the truck and was itching to get on the bike and ride. Plus as a bonus...the weather was spectacular.
Alive and Kicking
Well after enduring a case of "dead legs syndrome" it looks like I am back in action.
It should have been expected. I was training hard and not allowing enough time for recovery. I mentioned a while back that in order to ride faster, you need to ride slow.Or atleast allow enough of a warm up and cool down . Sometimes, that is easier said than done. With a tight riding schedule , I discarded the easy parts and replaced them with pain and suffering. It's one thing to build speed and power, but it's a whole different ballgame when you are also trying to shed some pounds at the same time.
