Tuesday's are one of two days off the bike, so I try to sit down and enjoy some 'family time' which sometimes gets put on the back burner with my odd riding schedule. Last night, however, it was just my son Justin and I as Mom was out shopping for x-mas and what not.

No, I am not talking about work. I am a Commercial Sales Rep for Otis Ford located in Quogue. I am talking about my Monday morning indicator. My usual ride for Monday is a Road Ride a 30 mile "out and back" . When I have my fitness up and my weight down, I easily bring the machine back to the house inside of 1:30 .

For the better part of the last 15 years I have either went for a Road Ride or hit the Trails on Sunday's. This Sunday was no different. I did have some thoughts about joining Trevors ride in or around the Riverhead area. However, me and my wife Renee were invited to a friends Christmas party Saturday night. Realizing that I have two choices going in to the party.

Well, as expected the Trail was a disaster. Having to dismount and clear a fallen object nine million times and re-mount and start climbing without any momentum took it's toll. My planned 3 hour ride was shortened to 2:15 minutes. It is never good when you start trying to sell yourself a shorter ride.

Well, having Thursday's off have always allowed me to get some chore's done around the house, maybe get some shopping in ( a lot less crowds) but, most importantly...has allowed me some serious ride time. This Thursday is no different as I set out for my semi-epic 3 hour mudfest. I am anticipating some slow going out there as I trek thru the Sxxxxxxm woods.

Well, I will be setting out for my usual mid-week hillwork. While most 'normal people' get done with work, maybe head to Carvel for some two for one Sundae's. I will be riding my 40 pound mess of a mountain bike up and down a hilly development until the ride time satisfies me. who know's maybe 45 minutes will do tonight, hell, maybe I will give it the full hour.
